Magenta – A Physical Core Color

Nonconformist, bizarre, eccentric, unique, flamboyant, zany, weird, and outlandish

Love to shock people with their unusual and outrageous behavior

Follow the beat of their own drummer; don’t conform to societal protocol

It was a Magenta (Rosalind Russell) who coined the phrase, “Life is a banquet and most poor suckers are starving to death.”

Unpredictable, energetic and spontaneous

Admirers and collectors of the avant-garde and eclectic in art

Like being around people but tend to be loners because others are embarrassed by them

Like being the center of attention yet prefer working alone to teamwork

Attracted to cutting-edge industries and companies for work

Usually live in urban areas where they can express themselves freely and get attention

Love to learn but tend to have a short attention span; often don’t finish what they start

Innovative, creative and artistic (in a unique and bizarre way)

Free-spirited, freedom-loving, adventurous, love to travel

Centered Magentas are self-accepting, self-appreciating, happy and optimistic

Uncentered Magentas feel misunderstood, different, alienated and alone in the world

In relationships they are looking for fun not commitment; prefer emotional intensity to familiarity

Tend to change partners often; don’t want the responsibility of raising a family

School is difficult for Magentas because of the structured and orderly protocol

Magentas are rebellious but not out of anger (usually); they just don’t like structure

Money serves the purpose of giving Magentas freedom to travel, try new things and buy outrageous stuff

Like Oranges , Magentas are fairly rare

Famous Examples:  Andy Warhol, Auntie Mame (and Rosalind Russell, the actress who played her)

The Life Purpose of someone with the core color of Magenta is to experiment and explore new modes of living and being outside of social protocol.  They naturally question everything, especially society’s standards and limitations.

The Basic Fear of someone with the core color of Magenta is the fear of being perceived as normal and ordinary despite considerable effort and aspiration to be different and outrageous.

Magentas like occupations that are flexible, inventive, artistic or on the creative cutting edge.  They need the freedom to express themselves with flair and develop their zany ideas.  Typical occupations that appeal to Magentas are:

Salesperson (especially of trendy or avant-garde products)

Creative artist

Clown

Comedian

Set designer
